On Friday we turned all screens off (let’s face it, they’ve overindulged the past week because they’ve gone without wifi for the past 5 months)to fully enjoy the house, the back forest, the screened in porch & the neighborhood.
It was a beautiful day.
The boys and I found ourselves gravitating towards our outdoor spaces, sitting in silence enjoying the sounds of nature.
Jami broke the silence and maybe best summed up how we are all feeling.
“Mom, it’s like a vacation house but we get to live here everyday!”
I replied, “Yes, son. It truly is.”
Then we listened to two owls calling back & forth for a bit longer.
The boys then returned to the forest where Jami fully emerged in the creek and then they found a snake(we wondered how long it would be until we found our first one-we think it was a rat snake).
We are beyond blessed & truly grateful for this new chapter. All of the sacrifices made & challenges of tiny living(317 square feet to be exact) for the past almost 6 months have made it all worth it.
